Zixi Accelerates Global Growth with Appointment of Heather Mellish as Vice President of Global Sales

Zixi, which specializes in IP-based video transport and orchestration, announces the appointment of Heather Mellish as Vice President, Global Sales.

In this role, Mellish will lead Zixi’s global revenue growth strategy, with responsibility for new business development, renewals, and expansion across all regions and customer segments.

She will focus on building, coaching, and scaling a high-performing global sales organization, while implementing strong, repeatable sales processes, and forecasting metrics.

Mellish will also partner closely with teams across the company to align go-to-market execution, strengthen enterprise customer relationships, and ensure a healthy global revenue pipeline.

“Heather joins Zixi at a pivotal moment in our growth,” says Marc Alrich, CEO of Zixi. “She brings a rare combination of deep domain expertise in cloud, edge, and media infrastructure, along with a proven ability to scale global sales and partner ecosystems. Mellish brings more than two decades of experience leading sales, partner ecosystems, and go-to-market strategy in the cloud and data-infrastructure space. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Partner Sales at Hydrolix, a fast-growing data observability startup, where she built and scaled global partnerships with AWS, Akamai, and other major cloud and distribution providers.

Prior to Hydrolix, Mellish spent over six years at Amazon Web Services, where she led worldwide go-to-market initiatives for Edge Services, including CloudFront, security, and media, and helped drive some of AWS’s largest customer sales motions.

Earlier in her career, Mellish spent 17 years at Level 3/CenturyLink in a range of sales, go-to-market, and media distribution roles, developing deep expertise in CDN, video transport, and enterprise network platforms.
