YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman who has been a leader at Youngstown State University for several years has officially been named dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration.
The appointment of Christina Saenger, Ph.D., takes effect on April 1. She has been the interim dean of the business college since July 2025, having previously served as associate dean.
Saenger joined the YSU faculty in 2014 and has also served as director of faculty relations.
According to information from the university, in Saenger’s service as interim dean, she led the college during a “pivotal” period, with her work focusing on strategic planning, strengthening faculty engagement, and expanding career-relevant business education. Notably, she guided efforts to get students “employment ready” by modernizing the curriculum, expanding online programs, and strengthening workforce partnerships.
Saenger earned a doctorate in marketing from Kent State University, a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in strategic marketing from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts in business and organizational communication from the University of Akron.
