UVM Grossman students start business clothes donation drive

Table of Contents

Students at the University of Vermont’s business school are holding a clothing drive for professional attire next week, according to an announcement.

The Grossman Student Advisory Committee will hold the donation drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8, 9, 11 and 12 at the Keller Room of the Grossman School of Business.

The drive aims to collect secondhand professional clothing to support students, according to the announcement. Each semester, the Grossman committee hosts a sale where students can buy affordable professional attire, which helps them feel prepared for presentations, internships and networking events.

This coming semester, two sales are planned instead of one. The first sale will coincide with the annual case competition, the Dean’s Cup, at the end of January. The second event will be the annual Spring Pop-Up Sale.

To accommodate the increased number of sales, the group is seeking more donations. The drive is designed to make it convenient for individuals to contribute by allowing them to drop off donations at any time during the specified dates. The goal is to provide high-quality, low-cost attire to students who may need it.

For more information about the donation drive, individuals can contact the Grossman committee at gsac@uvm.edu.
