The Torrance community will have the opportunity to explore local businesses in the city next week during the annual Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Showcase.
The event will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, and will feature more than 90 local businesses, restaurants, nonprofits and entrepreneurs. Attendees will receive giveaways, samples and networking opportunities. The chamber expects 400 to 500 attendees.
Each year’s expo has a theme and this year’s is “Through the Decades,” highlighting “the dynamic history and growth of local business through the decades,” according to a press release from the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce.
New this year is a “city walk,” featuring 12 departments from Torrance that will provide information to the community on city services, programs and initiatives.
“From public safety and recreation to planning and community engagement,” the press release said, “the City Walk highlights the breadth of resources the City of Torrance provides to support its residents and businesses.”
Exhibitor booths are available for businesses to reserve through Wednesday, Oct. 15. Those interested can secure a booth at torrancechamber.com/business-expo-and-showcase.
This year’s business showcase will take place at the Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach, 3635 Fashion Way, in Torrance. It is free to the public.
