Open houses took place Nov. 10 through 13
The St. Louis Economic Development Partnership (STL Partnership) welcomed small businesses owners throughout St. Louis to its small business incubators, hosting four open houses Nov. 10-13. Taking place during STL Startup Week, an event series designed for the St. Louis entrepreneurship community, these open houses brought more than 80 small business owners to the four events combined.
The open houses occurred at the Wellston Business Incubator (6439 Plymouth Avenue in Wellston, Mo.), the Lemay Business Incubator (315 Lemay Ferry Road in Lemay, Mo.) and the West County Business Incubator (743 Spirit 40 Park Drive in Chesterfield, Mo.). STL Partnership’s Helix Center Biotech Incubator, which houses bioscience and Agtech entrepreneurs, also co-hosted an open house with 39 North, St. Louis’ AgTech innovation district, that occurred at the 39 North office in Olivette.
The three open houses in Wellston, Lemay and Chesterfield included tours of office spaces, available warehouse storage, shared conference rooms and community spaces. Each of these events also included a specialized training session for open house visitors and current tenants of the business incubators. The training sessions focuses on a variety of topics, including marketing and media relations for small businesses, examining business financing options that are available and how pitch decks can attract investors, partners and customers.
The event at 39 North included an event called Meet the Founders, where three local AgTech entrepreneurs shared stories of how their companies started and how they have grown.
