Geneva-based medtech company Spineart has secured a CHF 25 million investment from long-standing shareholders Gimv and EGS Beteiligungen (EGSB) to fuel its next phase of growth and global expansion.

Founded in Geneva, Spineart has become one of Switzerland’s leading medtech innovators, combining design excellence with advanced digital and robotic technologies. The company is known for its BAGUERA® C cervical disc, a next-generation prosthesis designed to preserve motion and reduce complications in patients with degenerative cervical disc disorders. Following the completion of its FDA Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) studies, Spineart is now pursuing regulatory approvals in the United States.

Spineart’s growth strategy is built around a portfolio of high-precision implants, navigation systems, and robotic technologies. The company recently inaugurated a new 43,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Reignier, France, and opened an R&D and Training Center for Enabling Technologies in Dallas, Texas, to support its growing network of surgeons and healthcare partners.

With over 360 employees worldwide, Spineart expects to achieve revenues of approximately EUR 140 million in 2025, marking five consecutive years of double-digit growth. The company’s continued expansion across Europe and the U.S. underscores its ambition to become a global leader in spinal surgery innovation.

Shaping the future of spinal surgery

“This investment represents a major milestone in Spineart’s profitable growth journey,” said CEO Jérôme Trividic. “With the continued support of Gimv and EGSB, we are well-positioned to scale globally, deliver innovative, differentiated technologies, and reinforce our commitment to surgical excellence and improved patient outcomes.”

Gimv and EGSB emphasized their confidence in Spineart’s potential to shape the future of spinal surgery. “Our sustained commitment to Spineart reflects our strong belief in the company’s innovation capabilities and international growth,” said Gimv’s healthcare partners Bart Diels and Gautier Lefebvre.
