MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) — A major snowstorm has disrupted operations for local independent businesses on the original Small Business Saturday. In response, Dane County retailers have announced “Small Business Saturday v2” on December 6, 2025. They are not canceling the Small Business Saturday on November 29, but are offering an additional opportunity to support small shops.

The initiative aims to give the community another opportunity to support local shops. The event will feature participating businesses and promotions highlighted on www.ShopSmallDaneCounty.com.

Colin Murray, owner of Kylee’s Gift Cottage, emphasized the importance of this event. “Local businesses still rely heavily on holiday support, so we’re inviting the community to join us for Small Business Saturday v2 on December 6. It’s a second chance to celebrate local shopping without the blizzard,” said Murray.
