Cincinnati’s small businesses are gearing up for the holiday shopping season, inviting locals to experience the unique offerings of Over-the-Rhine and Findlay Market. Business leaders from Cincinnati gathered Tuesday to kick off the holidays, with store owners from OTR and Findlay Market announcing they are open and ready for the holiday rush.”When you walk into a small business, the service you get is something you will never get online and rarely in a department store,” Tessa Clark, co-owner and store director of Idlewild, said.Representatives from 3CDC, Mayor Aftab Pureval, along with business owners and partners in OTR, came together to highlight the unique qualities OTR’s small businesses offer. “These businesses are the engine of our local economy, as Tessa mentioned. Starting Black Friday, 3CDC will hold a special promotion where shopping with participating businesses in OTR or downtown could give customers a chance to win over $1,000 in gift card prizes.
