WELL, SHE SHOWS US HOW, WHETHER IT’S A WATCH PARTY, GREAT JOB. KEEP GOING. A PILATES BURN OR A DINNER SPECIAL SACRAMENTO BUSINESSES ARE CASHING IN ON THE BENITO BOWL. I FEEL LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE JUST GOING TO WATCH THE SUPER BOWL JUST BECAUSE OF BAD MONEY, BUT IT’S OKAY. WHY NOT? YOU KNOW, LET’S HAVE A GOOD TIME. WITH BAD BUNNY HEADLINING THE SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW, LOCAL SPOTS ARE TURNING INTO A FULL ON FAN EXPERIENCE. SOME OF US DON’T KNOW WHO’S PLAYING, BUT WE KNOW WHO’S GOING TO BE PERFORMING AT MAYA CANTINA. BENITO WATCH PARTY IS TAKING OVER THE WEEKEND WITH A SPECIAL MENU. A DJ, AND EVEN A LIVE PERFORMANCE LEADING UP TO THE BIG GAME. LAST SUPER BOWL. I DIDN’T DO IT BECAUSE I JUST FELT LIKE IT WASN’T BRINGING THAT MUCH ATTENTION. BUT NOW I THINK WE HONESTLY DID IT BECAUSE IT’S THAT BUNNY. AND AT LOLA’S LOUNGE, OWNED BY PUERTO RICANS, THE CELEBRATION STARTS EARLY WITH A SATURDAY EVENT THAT ALREADY SOLD OUT. THIS WILL, I THINK, BE OUR FIFTH BAD BUNNY EVENT. WE’RE THROWING. PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE EVENTS. YOU KNOW, WE PLAY HIS MUSIC AND WE DO, YOU KNOW, THEMED DRINKS AND STUFF LIKE THAT FOR PUERTO RICANS AND SACRAMENTO. SUNDAY MIGHT FEEL A LOT LIKE A HOLIDAY. IT’S ALMOST EMOTIONAL, YOU KNOW, LIKE WE WERE WATCHING HIS INTERVIEW TODAY AND I JUST WANTED TO CRY. IT’S IT’S AN AMAZING THING THAT HE’S DOING, NOT ONLY FOR PUERTO RICAN CULTURE, BUT FOR ALL OF LATINO CULTURE. WE COULD TALK ABOUT HIS SUCCESS FROM A MUSIC STANDPOINT. NUMBER ONE ARTIST IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW. BUT THEN WE ALSO CAN TALK ABOUT JUST WHAT HE’S DOING FOR THE FOR THE CULTURE OF PUERTO RICO, FOR THE REAL CULTURE, PUERTO RICO AND AND FOR LATINOS IN GENERAL. AND AGAIN, AND IT’S NOT JUST FOOD AND DRINKS, BECAUSE FOR SOME FANS, GETTING READY FOR BENITO MEANS BREAKING A SWEAT. FIRST WE HAD ONE CLASS AND THEN IT GOT FULL REALLY FAST. SO WE OPENED ANOTHER ONE. SO THERE IS A WAITLIST RIGHT NOW, BUT WE STILL HAVE TICKETS FOR THE EVENT. Sacramento businesses are turning Sunday into a fan experience as Bad Bunny headlines the Super Bowl halftime show, with local spots hosting special events and parties.Daniel Maya from Maya Cantina said, “I feel like a lot of people are just going to watch the Super Bowl just because of Bad Bunny, let’s have a good time.”Whether cheering for a team or Team Benito, businesses across the area have something special lined up for fans.Christian Manzano from Pilax Pilates noted, “Some of us don’t know who’s playing, but we know who’s performing.”At Maya Cantina, a Benito watch party will feature a special menu, a DJ, and a live performance leading up to the big game. Lola Serrano said, “This actually will be our fifth Bad Bunny event we’re throwing… people absolutely love the events. We play his music, and we do theme drinks and stuff like that.”For Puerto Ricans in Sacramento, Sunday might feel like a holiday. Serrano expressed, “It’s almost emotional. We were watching his interview today, and I just wanted to cry. It’s an amazing thing that he’s doing not only for Puerto Rican culture, but for all of Latino culture.”Lola’s Lounge will take catering orders for the Super Bowl until Thursday night, including homemade bottles of ‘coquito,’ a Puerto Rican holiday drink. After that, they will only accept take-out orders.Lito Fresco, also with Lola’s Lounge in Sacramento, said, “We could talk about his success from a music standpoint – number one artist in the world right now, but then we can also talk about just what he’s doing for the culture of Puerto Rico and for Latinos in general.”For some fans, preparing for Benito means breaking a sweat first. Manzano shared, “We had one class, and it got full really fast, so we opened another one. So there is a waitlist right now, but we still have tickets for the event.”
