Rockford convenience store owner says a man attempted to rob his business

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford store owner says police are looking for a suspect after his business was robbed.

Video obtained exclusively by WIFR shows the moment a man walks into Corner Food N’ More along the 3000 block of Kishwaukee Street and appears to pull out a gun. The owner says it happened around 7:50 Saturday evening when the person tried to steal a cash register and left.

A Rockford convenience store owner said a man pointed a gun at him around 7:50 p.m. Saturday.(WIFR)

The store owner says police arrived very quickly and he hopes the suspect is caught.

WIFR obtained a copy of the “armed robbery” incident case number. Rockford Police have not released information at this time.
