Nov. 29, sandwiched between Black Friday (Nov. 28) and Cyber Monday (Dec. 1), is Small Business Saturday, which is meant to boost local enterprises.
Here are four events to check out.
Ernie Clement autograph session and Red Wings store sale
Toronto Blue Jays player, 2025 World Series standout and Brighton native Ernie Clement will sign autographs (one per person) for free at the Red Wings Team Store from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 29.
It’s part of the team’s Small Business Saturday event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to 25% markdowns on most store items, shoppers who donate a new toy will get an additional $5 off their purchases.

Shop Small Monroe
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Monroe Avenue business district in the city of Rochester will host Shop Small Monroe, a slate of events including sales, giveaways, a holiday bazaar, food and drink tastings, photos with the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who and Max the dog, and more.
Participating businesses are Aaron’s Alley, Aladdin’s, Arian’s Mediterranean Kebab & Grill, Bar Bad Ending, Create a Pizza, Jamaican Spice, Jordan River, Marshall Street Bar and Grill, More Fire Glass Studio, Parlays Inn, Neno’s Gourmet Mexican Street Food, Pastrymancher, Park Avenue Paninoteca, The Red Cup Bar & Grill, Rick’s Recycled Books, Crumpets, O’Callaghan’s Pub, Good Life Collective, Miba, New York Stylee, Pet Supplies Plus, Stem, Park Avenue Pets, Vicious Vixens Studios, Guillotine and Dandeville. Sale and pop-ups in Webster
At 24 E. Main St. in the village of Webster, boutique Oh Bella Co. will offer markdowns of up to 70% and a mini market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 29 with participants Clay Cutery (earrings, bookmarks, ornaments and bag charms); Ember Piercing (ear piercing pop-up); and Blushed Bakery (sweet treats and a discount on cake slices).
Other small businesses along Main Street include Lala of Webster gift shop, Woodland Silkscreen & Embroidery Co. and Heart to Heart Bride.
Final holiday season for Rochester bookstore
Located at 713 University Ave. in the Neighborhood of the Arts, Akimbo Bookshop is having a Small Business Saturday sale Nov. 29. This will be the retailer’s last holiday season.
