PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) – Tonight, hopes of a stronger partnership between New York’s North Country and our neighbors in Quebec.
Industry leaders on both sides of the border met Tuesday, thanks in part to the North American Center of Excellence for Transportation Equipment, or NAmTrans.
As part of the North Country Chamber of Commerce, NAmTrans serves a cluster of more than 50 transportation equipment and aerospace manufacturers in the North Country.
The meeting, held in order to maintain cross-border supply chains and partnerships, also included a ceremonial signing of the friendship declaration and affirmation between Quebec and the North Country.
Garry Douglas of the North Country Chamber said, “This affirmation will be recognized as a testament of the unity, respect and collaboration that define the relationship between Quebec and New York’s North Country today and for generations to come.”
