A coffee drive-through that is so popular that lines often form around the corner is planning to open a new location in Connecticut.
7 Brew, which bills itself as having 20,000 potential drink combinations, is opening its next location in North Haven, according to the company.
Its Orange location, which faces Route 1, aka, Boston Post Road, is so popular that lines often stretch into the adjacent parking lot and staff of the business meet drivers as the cars wait in line in two drive through lanes.
Now, the business reports online, “welcome to your new local North Haven 7 Brew…We’re all about cultivating kindness, speed, and positive energy — one cup at a time.”
That location is to open on Washington Avenue on Feb. 16, according to the company. Washington Avenue in North Haven is a commercial corridor with many businesses, retail stores, restaurants and fast food locations. It is easily accessible to Interstate 95 and Route 15.
The company says that customers, whether they’re “craving a 7 Originals coffee, a signature 7 Energy drink, or something sweet and blended, our crew is here to serve up your favorite drinks fast and with a smile. Stop by, say hi, and get ready to find your new go-to drink — we’re excited to be part of your community.”
There also are drive through location in Wallingford, Bridgeport, and Vernon. The business does not have seating.
The 7 Brew in Orange is located on one of the most prominent spots in that town and just down the street from two Dunkin’ Donuts and a Starbucks, but the owner has said he wasn’t worried about that because he says 7 Brew has ingredients that are extra special: heart in every drink and baristas who truly care.
His words have rung true since the site opened in October, as it often has long lines and multiple baristas helping customers in the parking lot.
“Technically we sell drinks, but we feel like we’re in the people and relationship business,” Rohan Kapoor, who owns Connecticut stands with family members, has said. “It’s a positive experience.”
Kapoor also has said their baristas hand the customers their customized orders in the parking lot with an extra shot of “kindness,” positivity and friendliness. He hopes returning customers will get to know the crew.
“We look for people who are kind. Cultivating kindness is at the core. Building relationships, being able to enjoy a conversation,” Kapoor has said. “Whatever you’re going through a great interaction with another person can change the course of your entire day.”
Kapoor has said the franchise that began in northwest Arkansas in 2017 now has over 500 stands across 34 states. The company started to franchise in 2021 and kept the extra-friendly, community-centered culture and delivery of “speed, quality, customization,” he said.
“That’s just the spirit of the people of Arkansas,” Kapoor has said.

In Orange the stand of 510 square feet is located at the corner of Boston Post Road and Bull Hill Lane.
