Dublin-based IT services and consulting company Origina is expanding its operations with the creation of 350 new jobs.
Origina specialises in independent software support and maintenance for enterprise software, from vendors including IBM, HCL, and VMware. Origina says its “ambitious growth plan” will allow it to scale globally, with Ireland as its centre for future growth. The new roles will span disciplines, including software engineering, security, data and AI, and enterprise technology operations.
Minister of state with responsibility for small business, retail and employment, Alan Dillon TD, said: “I would like to congratulate Origina on this significant expansion. A huge achievement for a home-grown Irish company, it demonstrates that Enterprise Ireland-supported companies are competing and succeeding internationally while continuing to invest at home.”
Tomás O’Leary, CEO of Origina, said: “This investment in our Irish operations reflects our ambition to grow and scale the company over the next five years. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the innovation, dedication and ingenuity they bring as we continue on this growth journey.”
The jobs announcement was made in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland’s end of year results for 2025, which confirm that total employment at companies supported by the agency increased to 232,425 last year, with 12,608 new jobs created.
As part of its continued investment in innovation, Origina has also just launched a predictive software security product, that helps enterprises stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Powered by a proprietary AI engine built on Origina’s expertise supporting mission-critical enterprise software, the solution moves security from reactive patching to predictive prevention, cutting security and compliance risk at the source, we are told.
“This launch underscores Origina’s security-first approach and our focus on applying AI where it delivers real impact,” said O’Leary. “As scrutiny around operational resilience increases, enterprises need solutions that reduce risk before incidents occur. This product will be available to all our customers from March.”
