Greece, N.Y. — A new co-working concept in Greece aims to better connect local contractors with the community.
The Contractor Store has opened its doors on West Ridge Road.
The business serves as a centralized support hub for contractors such as roofers, plumbers, and electricians, providing access to administrative services like marketing, scheduling, and payroll.
Through the Contractor Store website, local homeowners can book vetted handymen or tradespeople from their roster of in-house businesses.
“I’ve seen so many times over the years, year in and year out, where I have homeowners, I run into that are constantly saying, ‘hey, we can’t find a blank, and we can’t get to a plumber. We need a referral for an electrician,’ and anyone can call the big box names,” said Michael Murano, owner of the Contractor Store. “Anybody can call the large companies of the world. It’s very difficult for somebody to get to a small business or a medium-size company without a personal referral.”
A portion of Thursday’s grand opening sales will be donated to local veterans’ organizations and Lollypop Farm.
