Avera Behavioral Health

Avera Behavioral Health has presented its annual Heart of Behavioral Health Awards to Paige Goldade and Dr. Matthew Stanley.

Goldade has worked at Avera Behavioral Health for 13 years as a nurse and clinical nurse educator. She is pursuing an advanced practice specialization as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Stanley spent most of career caring for patients at Avera and played a pivotal role in several of Avera Behavioral Health’s most impactful milestones, including opening the Avera Behavioral Health Hospital in 2006, the Avera Addiction Care Center in 2019, The Link in 2021 and the Helmsley wing addition in 2022. Now, he is the senior medical director-behavioral health at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Dr. Jeremy Cauwels, chief medical officer at Sanford Health, participated as a panelist at the ACHE 2026 Congress on Healthcare Leadership earlier this month in Texas. He was part of a discussion that focused on identifying and addressing critical workforce shortages in rural health care.

Seth Harwood of TSP has passed the Architect Registration Examination and received his license as a registered architect in South Dakota. Harwood joined TSP in 2025 and is based in the Rapid City office.

Maggie Kaltsulas has joined the University of South Dakota marketing and university relations team as director of public relations. She spent the past 10 years in manufacturing marketing, working in trade show planning, media buying, content creation, internal/external communication and training.

Attorneys Jacquelyn Bouwman and Jacob Schneider have been promoted to shareholder status at Woods, Fuller, Shultz & Smith PC. Both joined the law firm in 2020. Bouwman focuses her practice on business litigation, including breach of contract disputes, judgment enforcement, collections and creditors’ rights in foreclosures and priority contests. Schneider focuses on general civil litigation, construction law and commercial litigation.

City of Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken was chosen to participate in the Yale Mayors College for the second year in a row. On March 9, TenHaken was joined by select mayors from across the U.S. for a roundtable to discuss leadership challenges. The conversations are candid and off-the-record for a more productive environment.

Brad Jankord is a vice president. Jankord, who has been with the bank since 2024, is a senior commercial banker.

Mandy Kappenman is a vice president. She is the director of audit and joined the organization in 2015.

Phil Podhradsky is a vice president. He is the data platform manager and joined the organization in 2007.

Natalie Schmidt is a vice president. She is the director of compliance and has been serving the bank since 2016.

Jamie Heetland is an assistant vice president. She is the director of trust operations and has been with the bank since 2025.

Tiffany Miller is an assistant vice president. She is deputy general counsel and has been with the bank since 2024.

Julie Tibke is an assistant vice president. She is a mortgage loan officer and has been with the bank since 2023.

Laura Wallace is an assistant vice president. She is the portfolio manager/business banking specialist manager and joined the bank in 2023.

Jason Klein has been promoted to the dual role of chief financial officer and chief operating officer at JDS Industries. He has served as CFO for the past 12 years.

Jeremy Seykora is the vice president of manufacturing. He has been with the company since its founding in 2001.

Bart Brost is the vice president of engineering. Brost started at Showplace 22 years ago as the company’s first engineer.

Jeremy Fischer is the director of systems integration. He has been at Showplace for 18 years.

Jason DeWit is the manufacturing manager of finish rooms and has been at the business for 20 years.

Ryan Meins is the manufacturing manager of subassembly, assembly, shipping and warehouse operations. He has been a member of the team for 14 years.
