MANCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) – A small, family-owned business in Manchester is closing after 70 years.
Farr’s Sporting goods set up shop on Main Street in Manchester in 1955.
The sporting goods store says it has been in the process of closing for about a year but is finally in the final stretch.
The store has new open hours during this final stretch. It will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“While most of the inventory has already moved, there’s still a handful of discounted new & used bicycle parts, miscellaneous sporting goods, accessories, plus store displays, shelving, and other remaining items available for anyone who can use them,” the store said in a Facebook post. “If Farr’s has been a part of your life, your family, or your cycling journey, we’d love to see you stop by one last time.”
Owner’s of Farr’s Sporting goods did not provide a reason for the closure.
