PERRY, Ga (WGXA) — A man accused of making a sexual “disturbing” phone call to a local business in Perry is now wanted by police.
According to the Perry Police Department, an employee of the business reported the phone call on August 28. They told police that an unknown male made vulgar comments of a “sexual nature” while performing “lewd acts” during the call.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect’s phone number, obtain phone records, and locate the source of the calls.
With help from the Upson County Sheriff’s Office, Perry police searched a home in Thomaston and recovered a cell phone from Michael Antwoine Hammond.

Further investigation revealed that the same phone was used to contact multiple businesses in Warner Robins, Newnan and Horry County, South Carolina.
A warrant was issued for Hammond’s arrest, and the investigation is ongoing.
Perry police are asking anyone who has received similar phone calls to report the incident to law enforcement.
