Man arrested for robbery after assaulting employee at Fargo business

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Fargo police arrested a robbery suspect Saturday afternoon after an employee was assaulted during a morning theft at a business on 19th Avenue South.

Officers responded at approximately 10:16 a.m. to a business in the 4500 block of 19th Avenue South for a robbery report. Staff told police the suspect assaulted an employee, stole money and left the area in a vehicle.

The employee was transported to a local medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the robbery suspect as Phillip Parks, a 36-year-old male with no permanent address.

At 12:03 p.m., officers located the suspect vehicle in the 200 block of NP Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. Parks was not in the vehicle, but the two occupants were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Leroy Manning, 37, of Fargo, and Lena Fogel, 37, of Fargo.

Officers continued investigating the robbery and located Parks at approximately 3:48 p.m. in the 700 block of 8th Street North. Parks was arrested for robbery and transported to the Cass County Jail.
