BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – One local woman has taken her love for makeup to creating her own business.
LaKeisha Brookins started her eyelash journey four years ago and now has her own lash vending machine located at PJ’s College of Cosmetology on Russellville Rd.
“One day I was, I just had a dream and I was like, I wanted to do something in the beauty aspect” explains Brookins, “so I decided that I would come out with my own eyelashes four years ago.”
Brookins celebrated her vending machine’s first birthday and the fourth birthday of her business during the end of September.
She says the journey wouldn’t have been possible without a lot of hard work and determination.
“I really get excited about that when I see women with my lashes on, said Brookins. ”I’m very excited, very happy because I’m bringing out their confidence and I’m knowing that I put a smile on your face when you have on my pair of lashes.”
Keisha’s Unique Eyes has a variety of unique eyelash strips from glitter to party wear, which you can purchase at the vending machine. PJ’s College of Cosmetology is open Tuesday through Saturday.
