The launch of the Leapmotor Europe Innovation Centre signals a new phase in the company’s globalization strategy, as it moves to embed itself more deeply within international automotive ecosystems.
The new facility is located in Munich’s Schwabing-Freimann district, a long-established hub for automotive innovation and design talent. By choosing this location, Leapmotor is positioning itself alongside leading global players while tapping into Europe’s deep pool of creative and engineering expertise.
The company aims to evolve its design philosophy—centered on a blend of technological sophistication and natural aesthetics—through closer interaction with international design communities.
The Munich center will lead the development of Leapmotor’s next-generation design language and oversee concept creation for future models. Its establishment forms part of a broader global design network spanning Munich, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.
Through this tri-regional structure, the automaker intends to better integrate global design trends and consumer insights, translating them into products that resonate across markets while maintaining a distinct brand identity.
At the opening event, the company highlighted its upcoming A10 SUV—branded B03X in overseas markets—as a showcase of its evolving design direction. The model is positioned as a globally oriented product, developed to align with international aesthetic preferences while retaining core elements of Leapmotor’s design DNA.
Built on what the company describes as its “tech-natural aesthetics 2.0” philosophy, the A10 is expected to enter nearly 40 markets, underscoring Leapmotor’s ambition to compete more directly on the global stage with value-driven yet design-focused offerings.
