Brian Bertoli, 34, the suspect in the robbery of a Kakaako jewelry business on Wednesday afternoon, was charged today with robbery in the second degree. His bail has been set at $100,000.
The Honolulu Police Department said the incident happened around 12:35 p.m. at 1181 Kapiolani Blvd., where a man entered the store and threatened employees before smashing display cases and taking jewelry.
Police said the employees were not injured.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
