DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — Durham Police said Wednesday that a business owner had been arrested and charged in two sexual assault cases from July.
The US Marshal Task Force assisted DPD’s Criminal Investigation Division in arresting Jose Cartagena Guzman, 42, of Raleigh, on Sept. 10 in Virginia.
DPD said Cartagena Guzman is the owner of JCG Remodeling LLC., and investigators said they believe he has been using his profession to target women. Police said there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.
Cartagena Guzman was arrested on outstanding warrants for two counts of second-degree forcible rape and one count of first-degree kidnapping stemming from two sexual assaults that happened during July in Durham.
