JENA, La. (KALB) – Jena Football is back in the State Quarterfinals for the third consecutive season following a dominant victory 48-14 on their home field over St. Helena.
Sedrick Wilson led the Giants offense with 251 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Daniel Hatcher rushed for 121 yards of his own and two scores.
Quarterback Deuce McPherson tossed a pair of scores in the third quarter to Adrian Sharp and Zadrien Cooper to extend his total touchdowns this year to 20.
Jena will welcome 8th seed Mansfield in the Quarterfinals next Friday. The Giants and Wolverines met for a scrimmage in August at LCU.
