The Martin Luther King Corridor Improvement Authority will host its fourth annual Business Resource Fair, bringing together experts and community members to support local business growth.
The event is at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the MLK Center, 1107 Adrian St. It aims to connect current business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with hands-on training and support services in one location.
John Willis, chief equity officer and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the city of Jackson, said the event creates opportunities for connection and growth.
“The Jackson Resource Fair is a space where vendors, providers, and community members connect to build opportunity,” Willis said in a statement. “With the launch of our new e-Fund application, we’re expanding access to critical resources and investments that help strengthen Jackson’s businesses and neighborhoods.”
The fair welcomes entrepreneurs, experienced business owners, and business support organizations to participate and share expertise.
Anthony Parker, an MLK improvement authority board member, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting the community.
“We’re putting on this event because we care about our community and we have invested in our community,” Parker said. “We want to make sure that the people in our community who are starting or growing their business have the right tools to be successful.”
