NORTH AUGUSTA, SC. (WRDW/WAGT) – Local businesses are preparing for one of their busiest weekends of the year as the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee returns Friday and Saturday.
The city expects close to 60,000 people over the two-day Halloween festival. Matthew West and Blues Traveler headline the concerts while rides, craft vendors and food are available to those walking through.
At The Pink Dipper, employee Presleigh Tice serves fall flavors like apple pie and oatmeal cream pie, though the ice cream shop typically peaks during summer months.

“That’s like the Pink Dipper prime. We just get a lot of customers during the summer and it’s always popping,” Tice said. “It’s one of our busiest nights of the year.”
Jordan Crane, who helps run Antonio’s restaurant on Georgia Avenue, says the festival brings new customers to the establishment.
“We see a lot of first-timers, so that’s good for us. Word of mouth also great for us,” Crane said.
Georgia Avenue will be blocked off to accommodate the festival crowds and vendors.
Orange Otter Toys, located next to Antonio’s, experiences its biggest sales day during the festival. Kate Sturdevant said the event has been the store’s top sales day for the past two years.
“We’re going to have like 25% off our costumes for Halloween and have our Halloween stuff outside,” Sturdevant said.
The city is running its trolley during the event and says its new app, Explore North Augusta, will have live information about the event.
