Business Insider is launching Vibe Mode, a weekly newsletter tracking the rise of vibe coding and what it means for work, startups, and the economy.
Edited by senior tech editor Rob Scammell, each edition will highlight Business Insider’s reporting on the founders building AI-powered tools, the engineers whose roles are shifting alongside new technologies, and the growing wave of non-coders using AI to create apps and products. The weekly send will also look at what these changes mean for software companies, investors, markets, and the workplace. At its core, Vibe Mode is about the new “AI builder” economy and how it is reshaping companies, careers, and who gets to participate in software development.
“Business Insider was among the first to report on the term ‘vibe coding’ in early 2025. Since then, it has gone from a buzzword to a full-blown phenomenon,” says Rob. “New AI tools are redefining how software gets made and the careers of those making it, as people use technology like vibe coding, AI coding agents, and more. Every day, Business Insider’s reporters are speaking to the people at the heart of this shift, and I’m excited to see that coverage come together for our audience in Vibe Mode.”
Subscribers will receive the Vibe Mode email every Monday, bringing together all of Business Insider’s best tech, AI, markets, and careers coverage in one place. Sign up to start receiving Vibe Mode here.
