Warner Bros. Discovery’s subscription streaming service HBO Max is now live in 15 new markets, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Ukraine, among others.
The rollout is part of WBD’s goal to have 150 million subscribers worldwide by 2026. The platform ended June 30 with 125.7 million subs.
HBO Max will premiere “It: Welcome to Derry” on Oct. 26 (Oct. 27 in Asia Pacific, where available). Set in the world of Stephen King’s “It” universe, the new HBO drama is developed for television by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. Streamers can also look forward to hit movies hitting the service in the next few months, including M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, How To Train Your Dragon and Weapons.
Subscribers in the new markets have access to HBO, Max Originals, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Warner Bros. and Discovery content.
TV titles include “Game of Thrones,” “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us,” “The Penguin,” and “The Pitt,” among others. Movies include Superman and A Minecraft Movie, as well as the complete “Harry Potter,” “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix” movie collections. Also available are “Deadliest Catch” and “Gold Rush” from Discovery and kids entertainment such as “Tom and Jerry,” “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball” and “Looney Tunes.” Catalog hits such as “Friends” and “The Big Bang Theory” will be available to stream starting January 2026.
