Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has announced the 15 cities, including one in North Texas, that will host the 2026 Governor’s Small Business Summit.
The year-long series aims to connect entrepreneurs with resources to start and grow their businesses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of the Texas economy,” Abbott said in a news release.
“With more than 3.5 million small businesses across our state employing nearly half of all working Texans, Texas continues to lead the nation as the top state for job creation,” Abbott continued.
The governor encouraged participation from current and aspiring business owners.
“By connecting Texans with the tools, resources, and partnerships they need to grow their businesses, we will spur continued economic expansion across every region,” Abbott said.
The summits will feature sessions with local, state, and federal resource partners. Topics include business development strategies, regulatory guidance, and networking opportunities with established entrepreneurs.
The 2026 schedule begins April 2 in the DFW area in Allen, followed by Cuero on April 16.
Other host cities include Mission, Tyler, Laredo, Pasadena, Graham, Copperas Cove, Midland, Pflugerville, Nacogdoches, Brewster County, Dalhart, El Campo, and Midlothian.
Registration has opened for the Allen and Cuero events.
Future summit registrations will open three months before each event date.
The summits represent a partnership between the Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office and the Office of Small Business Assistance. These offices also manage the Business Permit Office, which helps entrepreneurs navigate state licensing requirements.
Communities interested in hosting future summits can contact the Office of Small Business Assistance. Additional information and registration details are available at gov.texas.gov/events.
