Two people were arrested after Fort Worth police and other agencies said officers observed prostitution, public lewdness, drug use and operating a sexually-oriented business without a license or permit.
In a press release, Fort Worth police said officers were notified of a new club called Masquerade Cabaret located in west Fort Worth. Officers began investigating the club and found that it was operating outside of the city’s sexually-oriented business ordinance, the release states.
A joint investigation with Fort Worth police, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and Homeland Security revealed probable cause for the sale of alcohol without a license, prostitution, public lewdness, open drug use inside the club and operating a sexually-oriented business without a license or permit, the release states.
The owners, Margerie Franklin and Trent Craff, were arrested for operation of a sexually-oriented business without a license or permit, the release states. A cease and desist letter was also sent to the owners, notifying them to cease illegal operations immediately, police said.
Arrest warrants were also issued for the other offenses, and those warrants remain outstanding, the release states.
In a social media post, the Dallas office of Homeland Security Investigations said the business was linked to gang activity and was the site of a January 2026 shooting. The business was permanently shut down, HSI Dallas said in the post.
Fort Worth police confirmed there was a gang-related shooting in the parking lot of the business, but no one was hit.
The investigation into the business is ongoing, the release states.
