MARRERO, La. — A fire was reported at a business on the Westbank Thursday morning with heavy smoke visible from the area.

The fire was reported near Acadian Flooring, located in Marrero in the 5100 block of Lapalco Boulevard. 

Officials say LaPalco is blocked off from Barataria Boulevard, almost all the way to Ames Boulevard.

At this time, details about the cause of the fire, any injuries or the extent of the damage have not been confirmed.
