Firefighters battle blaze in Horseheads that struck businesses | Watch
Firefighters get a blaze on Chambers Rd. in Horseheads under control at a multi-business building that housed a CBD shop, Dunkin’ and Baskin Robbins.
A fire broke out at a business plaza at 3317 Chambers Rd. in Horseheads early Feb. 26, devastating several businesses including Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’ and Your CBD Store.
The fire was reported around 5:15 a.m. Thursday and no one was reported injured by the blaze, said Dave Sultman, Chief of the Big Flats Fire Department. The roof of the structure caved in due to the blaze and a section of Chambers Road and the nearby Arnot Mall parking area were closed as firefighters fought the blaze.
Firefighters from multiple departments remained on scene well into Thursday morning.
No cause has been determined, and the fire remains under investigation, Sultman said. The investigation will continue.
Around seven departments responded to the fire, including Big Flats, Painted Post, Corning Joint Fire, Horseheads, Millport, Elmira Heights and Tompkins Corners.
