JUNO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Local medical experts came together for a community-focused discussion on women’s health during the “Women’s Health, Reimagined” panel, part of an ongoing lecture series presented by Tampa General Hospital in collaboration with Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
The event, held as part of the series “Caring for Ourselves and Our Planet – Together,” highlighted the intersection of personal health, environmental awareness, and preventive care.
Moderator CBS12 News Anchor and Reporter Stefany Valderrama opened the discussion by recognizing National Women’s History Month and underscoring the importance of self-advocacy in healthcare.
The panel featured a group of experienced medical professionals from Tampa General Hospital, including Dr. Laurie Rothman, Dr. Kelly Foster, and Catherine Marinak, APRN.
Dr. Rothman is a concierge primary care physician specializing in family and obesity medicine, delivered an overview of preventive health strategies for women at all life stages. She emphasized routine screenings, lifestyle management, and proactive care.
