THE WHAT? Cosnova continued to grow in 2025 despite a moderate global beauty market, strengthening its global position through international expansion and the acquisition of Spanish skincare specialist Niche Beauty Lab.
THE DETAILS The family-owned beauty group behind essence and Catrice increased turnover by 4% to US$1.17 billion, ranking sixth globally in decorative cosmetics by value and second by volume, with essence now Europe’s best-selling cosmetics brand. E-commerce sales rose around 20%, while social commerce performance surged, with essence becoming the world’s number one make-up brand on TikTok and Catrice ranking among the global top three. The acquisition of Niche Beauty Lab expands cosnova’s capabilities in active ingredient-led skincare, with its expertise set to be integrated into global innovation and brand strategy from January 2026. Internationally, cosnova advanced listings in the UK (Primark and Boots), the US (Walmart), and entered India, while strengthening direct operations across Spain and Eastern Europe. To support growth, the company is investing in logistics, including a new MENA hub in Dubai in 2026 and a fully automated central warehouse by 2027.
THE WHY? Cosnova is leveraging its mass-access positioning, digital and social media leadership, and portfolio expansion into skincare to drive resilient growth and establish itself as a holistic, global beauty player.
