ABILENE, TX — On Saturday, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Council hosted its 17th annual Business Mercado at the Abilene Convention Center. This year’s fair-themed event included live music from mariachis, a plethora of business networking opportunities, and authentic cuisine.
Aida Pantoja serves as the Hispanic Business Council’s chairwoman. She said the event is centered around culture, family, and business.
“It’s a free event for the community and we really enjoy bringing the community together.”
She communicated that the event drew its largest crowd to date.
“Every year, thank God, we have more people and more people” she said. “So far, this is our best Business Mercado.”
Pantoja expressed how grateful she is to the Abilene community members who attended the event.
“I just want to say ‘thank you, Abilene’ for the support.”
