CLEVELAND, Ohio – An employee at BidFTA Online Auctions in Strongsville was stabbed Monday morning by a co-worker, police say.
Authorities said the attack occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at the business on Drake Road. Several callers told 911 operators that the victim appeared to have suffered serious injuries to his back.
He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Police said a fellow employee was accused of assault in the attack. It is unclear what prompted the incident. A caller told a dispatcher the incident appeared to have taken place in a bathroom.
WKYC, a news partner of Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer, reported that the business closed for the rest of the day, citing “unforeseen circumstances.”
