In addition to their current on-air responsibilities,Melissa Lee and Michael Santoli will serve as co‑anchors of Closing Bell Overtime beginning January 20. The show will deliver a comprehensive wrap‑up of the trading day, featuring expert analysis, exclusive interviews, and actionable insights. As award‑winning journalists with decades of experience, Melissa and Mike bring invaluable perspective to the day’s biggest stories, providing our retail investing audience smart, in‑depth reporting on breaking news and key earnings.
As part of this transition, today will mark Morgan Brennan and Jon Fortt’s final day on Closing Bell Overtime.
Starting January 26, Morgan will anchor our 5AM hour, bringing the energy and sharp observations she’s known for to kick off the day. Her fresh, thoughtful take on the markets signals a new approach for the show, designed to equip viewers with the information and insight they need to navigate the trading day. More details on the show’s evolution to come.
Jon, an authoritative voice on all things tech, will host a new show focused on tech leadership. For more than 15 years, he has brought CNBC audiences inside conversations with the biggest names in the industry from Amazon to Microsoft to NVIDIA, offering essential context and clarity on the strategies transforming the future of technology. The program is still in development, and more details will be shared soon.
Frank Holland will step into a new role as anchor of CNBC International’s U.S. Markets Edition. Frank brings a well‑rounded blend of sector expertise and national reporting experience to a program designed to keep audiences informed on the major developments powering the business world overnight. He will also serve viewers looking for reliable coverage on market moves with regular reporting from the NYSE. His last day on Worldwide Exchange will be January 23.
Brian Sullivan, our inaugural U.S. Markets Edition host, will continue to co-anchor Power Lunch with Kelly Evans. He will be taking on a new Energy vertical on CNBC Pro at a critical time for the global energy complex. More to come on that in the coming weeks.
These moves allow us to refresh our lineup and place our anchors in positions that maximize their impact.
