NORTHPORT, Ala. (WBRC) – Northport leaders voted unanimously Monday night to revoke the business license of a massage parlor whose owners are facing prostitution charges.
It was back in October 2025 when the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force arrested JianPing Chen after a lengthy investigation.
Authorities said Chen is the owner of Eastern Massage Parlor LLC in Northport – as well as Apple Massage and Tunia Massage – and charged him with four counts of second degree promoting prostitution.
During Monday night’s city council meeting, Chen – along with Aihua Liu, who is said to be facing the same charges – were named as the owners/ managers of Eastern Massage LLC.
According to Northport city leaders, the two were granted a license for a massage parlor in July 2025.
One task force member told us back in October that a total of nine people were taken into custody while they worked to determine who was and wasn’t a victim of trafficking.
WBRC has reached out to the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force to confirm Liu’s charges. No word yet as of the date and time this article was published.
