Chicago police seek suspects in rash of 10 business burglaries – NBC Chicago

Chicago police on Sunday issued an alert about a recent string of burglaries targeting businesses across the city.

At least 10 businesses have been hit by burglars since Nov. 5, authorities said. In each case, two to four burglars broke the glass door with a crowbar before stealing items and getting away in a stolen gray Infiniti sedan, police stated.

One of the most recent incidents happened Saturday morning at Tony’s Deli in Edison Park and was partially captured on surveillance video. The owner told NBC Chicago the burglars pointed a gun when he walked in on them tearing apart the cash registers.

As of Sunday evening, police had yet to make any arrests.

The following incidents were reported to police:

  • 3:20 a.m. – Nov. 5 – 3300 block of North Broadway – Lakeview East
  • 3:32 a.m. – Nov. 5 – 7100 block of North Ridge Boulevard – West Ridge
  • 4:30 a.m. – Nov. 5 – 600 block of West Washington Boulevard – West Loop
  • 5 a.m. – Nov. 5 – 400 block of South Wells Street – Loop
  • 4:58 a.m. – Nov. 7 – 1900 block of South State Street – Near South Side
  • 5:04 a.m. – Nov. 7 – 2000 block of South Clark Street – South Loop
  • 5:40 a.m. – Nov. 7 – 500 West Harrison Street – Near West Side
  • 5:04 a.m. – Nov. 15 – 6100 block of North Milwaukee Avenue – Norwood Park
  • 5:21 a.m. – Nov. 15 – 6700 block of Northwest Highway – Edison Park
  • 5:30 a.m. – Nov. 15 – 3400 block of North Elston Avenue – Avondale
