Charlotte-based Carolina Handling has opened its new $23.2 million, 264,544-square-foot facility at Pickens County’s Speedway Business & Technology Park, the company announced Oct. 6.
Located at 285 Speedway Blvd. east of Easley, the facility combines warehouse and office space from four Carolina Handling facilities in the Upstate region of South Carolina under one roof and is expected to create 100 new jobs.
Speedway Business & Technology Park is being developed by RealtyLink LLC on the site of the former Greenville-Pickens Speedway along U.S. Highway 123. Carolina Handling is the inaugural tenant.
The intralogistics company is the exclusive Raymond Solutions and Support Center for South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida’s central time zone.
Its new facility includes warehouse space to accommodate technician bays for new, rental and renewed equipment, as well as parts, distribution and logistics operations. The facility also includes office space, meeting and training facilities and a Customer Experience Center, where visitors can explore integrated automation technologies and see live equipment demonstrations.
