Police said the license plate was stolen from Baltimore City on Dec. 29, 2025, and actually belongs to a Honda HR-V.Catonsville business owners told WBAL-TV 11 News what they woke up to on Sunday.”We received the call early this morning that Franco’s was broken into,” said Lou Weinkam, the owner of Franco’s. “Apparently, somebody entered through the window, through the door and then just, you know, grabbed two cash registers. We don’t really keep any cash here (so) I guess they didn’t know any better and just grabbed it and ran.””(I) got a call from the neighbor, there was a group of burglaries coming through Frederick Road, and they kicked in a lot of businesses’ windows,” said owner of Write-On!, Debbie Welsh. “They kicked in my front door here and stole the cash register. Just vandalizing all of Frederick Road, really, (stealing) cash registers.”Investigators said they’re searching for several suspects.”It’s shocking and it’s hurtful because we’re a small, family business, and we put a lot of care into what we do,” Weinkam told WBAL-TV 11 News. “(This) wasn’t on my radar that this was going to be something I’d be dealing with today at all.” Police ask anyone with information or surveillance video to call detectives at 410-887-4636.
