Honorees at Knoxville’s 2026 Pinnacle Awards include Turning Knox Rentals, highlighting the achievements of diverse business leaders in community impact.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Businesses and community leaders in Knoxville were honored Thursday night at the 2026 Pinnacle Awards.
The awards recognize organizations and individuals for achievements in areas such as community impact and business growth, with winners representing a range of company sizes and industries.
Among those recognized was Turning Knox Rentals. Owner Yvonn Calandes said receiving the award was especially meaningful as a woman of color running a business.
“It means that it just shows minorities that doors can open, and the doors are opening one day at a time,” Calandes said. “My thing is this: work hard, be dedicated, and with God, all things are possible. You just have to know that time will come, that you will get that recognition. Just work hard and win.”
Former WBIR anchor Beth Haynes served as the event’s emcee.
