Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival, held each July in Northampton, has donated $40,000 to two local organizations: Forum House/Viability, Westfield, and River Valley Counseling Center, Holyoke. Each organization will receive $20,000.

Over its 31-year history, the festival has raised and donated $426,365 to charitable organizations and student scholarships, fostering the preservation of Celtic culture and heritage.

U-Haul Co. of Massachusetts and Ohio Inc. announces that Devon Self Storage Springfield, 2155 E. Columbus Ave., signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer.

Devon Self Storage Springfield offers services such as U-Haul trucks and moving supplies.

An Easthampton agency, Big Voodoo Interactive, announced a strategic agency partnership with TikTok and its parent company ByteDance to launch its Social Media Influencers Program. The initiative features influencers, creators and celebrities who will help law firms reach modern audiences through social media commercials and short-form storytelling built specifically for TikTok’s global platform.

Health New England has awarded $176,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations that are creating more inclusive, accessible, and supportive communities across Western and Central Massachusetts. The company’s Community Benefits Mini-Grants went to 49 organizations in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester counties.

This year’s grants focus on initiatives that address at least one social factor known to impact health, such as access to nutritious food, education, safe housing, health care, transportation, and opportunities for connection and belonging.

The Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce’s recent Power Hour event, hosted by 850 High Street LLC, brought together business leaders to support local causes.

Grzelak, Grzelak and Associates PC presented a $5,000 check to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. Daruma BBQ, a new chamber member and recently established Holyoke business, contributed a $1,000 check.

Refreshments from the Power Hour event were delivered directly to firefighters monitoring the scene of a fire at Franklin and High Street in December. The fire occurred in close proximity to the event’s host.

Springfield Regional Chamber will present the 2026 Government Reception on Monday, Jan. 26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Storrowton Tavern, Memorial Avenue, West Springfield.

This annual networking event provides business and community leaders with the opportunity to meet socially with local, state and federal officials, including state representatives and senators, area mayors and city council members. The Chester Municipal Electric Light Department, serving approximately 700 customers in the community of Chester has joined the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company as a member.

Under the agreement, CMELD will receive a variety of services from MMWEC, the Commonwealth’s designated not-for-profit joint action agency for municipal utilities.
