Early Friday morning, crews battled a fire at a business in downtown Seneca, South Carolina.Just before midnight, the Seneca City Fire Department was alerted to a fire alarm at Brews on the Alley on Ram Cat Alley near North Townville Street.When firefighters arrived, it was determined that there was smoke coming from the neighboring business Drizzle on the Alley.Multiple agencies responded and crews were able to contain fire damage to Drizzle on the Alley, according to the Seneca Fire Department.Damage to the businesses on either side was limited to smoke damage. Officials said these businesses should be able to reopen in a few days.No injuries were reported in the fire.Neighboring business, Brews on the Alley, made a post on social media, saying in part:”There was a fire on ram cat alley last night that affected our neighbors at drizzle on the alley. Brews has no fire damage, but we will temporarily be closed while we fix our front door and deep clean the building to get rid of the smoke smell. We are thankful that both businesses were closed and no one was injured.”
