LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance held its annual meeting Thursday morning, highlighting a year of economic growth and regional progress.
Leaders recapped what they called a strong 2025, announcing eight industrial projects across the region that brought more than 400 new jobs to the area.
The morning also included a special moment for the ABC13 family.

Lynita Spain presented the George Taylor Stewart III Award for Community Impact — an honor her late husband, former ABC13 anchor Mark Spain, received for 2025.
This year’s award was presented to Gary Campbell, president and CEO of Johnson Health Center.
“I too looked at the names that had won this award in the past, and I will have to say it was quite humbling,” Campbell said.
Alliance leaders say they hope to build on that momentum in the year ahead, continuing efforts to bring jobs and investment to the Lynchburg region.
