A death investigation was underway in northwest suburban Bartlett after a person was found dead outside a business on Friday, authorities said.
The Bartlett Police Department said officers were called to the 5500 block of County Farm Road near Stearns Road for a report of an unresponsive person and found an individual deceased behind a local business.
As of Friday afternoon, the individual’s identity hadn’t been released, and the circumstances surrounding the death were under investigation. Bartlett police were conducting an investigation in conjunction with the DuPage County Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigative Team and the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.
Stearns Road was closed between Newport Lane and County Farm Road as police worked on the scene.
