AllianceTexas in north Fort Worth gets a lot of attention, and deservedly so, for its industrial development, but south Fort Worth has several projects underway.
These range from speculative industrial sites to a place dedicated to making dough from the company behind the Paris Baguette eatery.
Holt Lunsford Commercial started construction on Carter Crossing, a speculative logistics park with more than 1 million square feet across 83 acres at 6901 Wichita St.
Ascendant Commercial is under construction on a two-building development totaling 1.3 million square feet at Fort Worth I-35 Logistics Center Buildings 1 & 2 at the intersection of Interstate 35W and Risinger Road. It is set to deliver in the second quarter of 2026.
Alto Real Estate Funds in September broke ground on Carter Park 35 at 7973 I-35, a two-building project on 20 acres totaling 341,677 square feet that is set to deliver in the third quarter next year.
Empire Holdings is under construction on the Campus Industrial Park at 2200 E. Loop 820. The two buildings at that site total 107,560 square feet and are expected to come online this quarter.
And, not to be left out, AllianceTexas developer Hillwood is under construction on a two-building project totalling 1.6 million square feet for Continental Tire and Dicks Sporting Goods that is set to open before the end of the year at the Risinger/35 Logistics Park.
A little faurther south, the city of Burleson and SPC Group, the global food company behind Paris Baguette, in September broke ground on its first dough manufacturing facility in North America.
The $200 million-plus project will bring a 267,000-square-foot production facility to Highpoint Business Park, at 5600 Highpoint Blvd. creating 450 new jobs.
