Irondequoit, N.Y. — An arrest has been made following homicide at a business on East Ridge Road earlier this month.
The Irondequoit Police Department said Nuri Simmons, 48, of Rochester was arrested Friday for the death of Charles Wilson, 30, of Rochester.
A police sergeant was parked across the street from Lush Resto Lounge around 3:15 a.m. Oct. 4 when he saw several women leave the restaurant and begin fighting outside, according to Chief Scott Peters.

As the sergeant was trying to break up the fight, Wilson came crashing through the lounge’s front window and suffered a large laceration to his torso, Peters said. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he died the next day.
Police said Simmons and Wilson had been involved in an argument inside the business prior to the stabbing.
Simmons was charged with second-degree murder. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
