In what the company says is a significant milestone following strong financial performance and a successful IPO in November 2025, Appear, the provider of live production technology, has made a number of global and regional appointments to accelerate expansion and customer engagement.
Simon Frost has joined the company in the newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) following two decades of experience in the media technology sector, having held senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ericsson and TANDBERG Television.
Most recently at AWS, Frost played a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud-based media workflows across EMEA, working closely with broadcasters, service providers and industry partners, as they tested and adopted cloud-first approaches.
“We are delighted to welcome Simon to Appear’s executive team,” said Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen, CEO at Appear. “Simon brings an exceptional combination of strategic insight, deep industry expertise and an unwavering focus on customers. His background at AWS and Ericsson will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our portfolio and expand our international footprint, while staying true to the values that have driven Appear’s success.”
“Appear has earned an outstanding reputation as a trusted partner for the most demanding live production environments,” said Simon Frost, CMO at Appear. “The leadership team and Board have a bold vision for Appear’s opportunity, with customers at the centre of every decision. The opportunity to join Appear at this pivotal time and leverage my delivery of hyper growth and customer obsession at AWS is an incredible opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Kenth Andersson has taken on the role of SVP Business Development Global. Previously with Net Insight in the role of SVP Sales – Head of APAC, Andersson will be working with customers, and channel partners across the globe.
“I am genuinely happy and humbled to share that I am joining Appear as SVP Business Development, Global,” said Andersson. “It is an incredibly exciting time in the market. Requirements are changing fast, and IP media delivery is enabling entirely new ways of building workflows. By combining purpose-built hardware with software and cloud-based environments, IP media allows customers to operate more efficiently, scale with confidence, and adapt to new production models.
“This is exactly where Appear stands out. With resilient, future-ready media solutions, Appear safeguards high-value content, enables service differentiation, and simplifies operations through IP standardisation. That balance between robustness, flexibility, and operational clarity is critical for customers and partners working with live sports and live events, where media delivery simply cannot fail.”
Also joining Appear is Reza Rahimi in the role of Regional Sales Director. Previously Sales Director Net Insight, Rahimi will have regional responsibility for driving growth and customer adoption of Appear’s high-performance media processing solutions across contribution, production, and distribution workflows throughout Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
