Highland Pizzeria, a longtime Manheim Township pizza shop that featured an extensive selection of beer, has now closed.

The restaurant at 2347 Oregon Pike occupied a spot in the Shoppes at Landis Valley, behind a Turkey Hill convenience store. It was owned by Doug Pagan, whose brother Wayne Pagan announced its closure.

Wayne Pagan said his brother is retiring and will be selling Highland Pizzeria’s restaurant liquor license.

Originally opened in 1999 at 707 Olde Hickory Road, Highland Pizzeria moved to its current location just up Oregon Pike in 2011, evolving into a full-scale sports bar with seating for 120.

In addition to more than 200 beers, Highland Pizzeria had a food menu of pizza, stromboli, subs, panini and salads.
